Brief:
NAF's current web presence had become both out-of-date and dated. The site structure was complex, which meant that it was often difficult for the clients to keep track of what sections had been updated. In addition, each different brand within the NAF umbrella was hosted separately and carried no cohesive design approach. Our objective was two-fold. To streamline their collective web presences and to provide a single, uniform website with a simpler, modular structure to allow for expansion. The aim was that all of the individual parts of the NAF business would benefit each other.

The key was being able to draw enough design elements from each of the long-established websites that NAF operated to give their current users a comfortable transition between the old and new sites. It was also important that users could easily move between the different sections of the website, but would always know what department they were browsing. The former we achieved by means of a series of templated menu systems, each using a similar layout but accommodating the necessary different links; the latter we addressed by means of a colour-coding system. We worked closely with NAF's own design team to ensure continuity between their extensive print marketing strategies and electronic media. We also collaborated on an ongoing series of Flash microsites, which we have designed to advertise a dynamic new range of premium products.
