Brief:
This was our second web project with Granville-West, a development of one of our earliest websites built in 1999. One aspect of the original site that we were keen to retain was the linguistic approach. Too many legal websites are written using almost exclusively legal language. This is fine for business to business websites where only other legal professionals are provided with information, but such language is often intimidating for the general public. The main text was written with this uppermost in mind, with specific sections of the website containing more specific language.

The purpose of the redesign was to more fully address current accessibility issues and to streamline the coding using more recent technology, providing a quicker web browsing experience. The existing design layout was retained but adapted to fit the larger resolution screens that most web users now have, which also served to make the larger areas of information easier to read and navigate.
