Brief:
Erni Upton is a landscape artist based in Shropshire, but originally hailing from Scotland. A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, he has regularly exhibited his work with art galleries, but had no web presence of his own.

This was a project that we undertook with our partners SCPR. The client wanted a simple, yet eyecatching website to display a selection of his paintings and to allow clients to purchase prints. In the initial phase of development, he did not want to actually sell his items online, but rather to encourage people to contact him through the site. This result was an exercise in restraint; a clear navigation structure, with simple text, letting his beautiful paintings do the talking!
