Brief:
Chepstow School had never really fully exploited the potential of the internet. Although the school itself was renowned for the quality of its IT department, their website was typical of many schools in being a straightforward information point for basic school information. The arrival of a new head and several key IT staff members saw the school reappraising what they wanted from their website. Our involvement was a staring point for them, the intention being that the school - staff and pupils - would subsequently take full control of running and updating the site.

A project of this size would usually require some degree of content management system. However, the school correctly saw the benefit of being able to teach pupils web design and maintenance skills using the site as a framework. Our design therefore had to be structured and expandable, using simple and robust web technology. The school's website is now fully maintained by ths school and has proved so far to be both a useful eductaional tool and valuable resource for parents.
